I have been fishing virtually all of my
life. It was Bluegills and farm ponds as a
kid, Bass tournaments up and down the east
coast, Bluewater fishing off North
Carolina's Outer Banks, and finally fishing
and exploring the Florida Keys and
Everglades backcountry. I guess you could
say fishing is and always will be a way of
life for me. Between guided fishing trips,
exploring new areas and testing new fishing
techniques, I am on the water 250 to 300
days a year, always trying to unlock the
secrets of the fish we all want to catch!
Working as a diesel mechanic for 14 years
provided a comfortable lifestyle, but I was
always trying to figure out how to break
away and do what I loved to do. So I finally
threw in the towel and moved my family to
the Florida Keys shortly after our first
visit in 1999. It was a BIG chance to take,
but worth every penny! Getting up at 5 am to
go fly fishing for Tarpon with a world class
angler, or taking an angler into the
Everglades for the first time and seeing
their reactions to their new surroundings is
what it’s all about!
Fishing bass tournaments for 14 years and
various saltwater competitions in the Keys
and Everglades has taught me one thing:
Someone will always find and catch the fish!
No matter what the weather conditions,
someone will always find them. Time on the
water and experience is the difference. I
pride myself on being able to fish multiple
locations. The Everglades, Biscayne Bay, and
the Upper and Lower Keys are all excellent
fisheries with multiple lifetimes of fishing
possibilities. It is impossible to find and
catch fish all the time, but having a guide
that strives to learn something new every
day will greatly increase your chances of
being successful! |
